v2.7.0 2026-07 Major ▾
  • Drum Pattern Editor: Fixed a bug where the grid-resolution dropdown's internal value didn't match the actual step count.
  • Drum Pattern Editor: Expanded presets from 2 to 12 (rock, funk, house, trap, reggae, punk, metal, jazz swing, blues shuffle, bossa nova, ballad).
  • Drum Pattern Editor: Added swing and per-row mute/solo/volume controls.
  • Drum Pattern Editor: Added drag-to-paint input (toggle multiple cells at once) and right-click to instantly erase a note.
  • Drum Pattern Editor: Added the ability to save and share a pattern as a shareable link (URL).
  • Drum Pattern Editor: Added a sound kit switch (Electronic/EDM vs. Acoustic).
  • Drum Pattern Editor: Expanded grid resolution beyond quarter/8th/16th/32nd notes to include 3-through-11 tuplets. Higher resolutions now render narrower cells while keeping the total width of a beat constant.
  • Drum Pattern Editor: Redesigned notes to remember the resolution they were placed at — changing the resolution later no longer affects existing notes, so you can freely mix notes of different resolutions within the same row.
  • Drum Pattern Editor: Fixed the per-row volume slider overflowing outside its label column.
v2.6.0 2026-07 Major ▾
  • Relaunched the glossary and blog as individual Next.js/MDX-powered article pages, with a new articles index page. The index splits blog and glossary into two sections, each expandable via a "See more" button.
  • Unified the glossary listing to match the blog's single-line list style.
  • Replaced emoji/symbol icons across every tool's dropdown entry and card with custom-designed SVG icons.
  • Fixed the magnifying-glass icon overlapping typed text in every search box on the site.
  • Polyrhythm Metronome: Simplified the mode names into plain language, added a short description with a guide jump link for each mode, and promoted ratio presets to a "Quick Start" position. Added a color-coded legend to the indicator.
  • About page: Removed the emoji card grid in favor of a simple bullet list, and corrected the stale tool count (6/10) to the actual number (15).
  • Home: Reduced the excess whitespace above the tagline.
v2.5.0 2026-06 Major ▾
  • Added 5 new tools: Polyrhythm Metronome, Drum Pattern Editor, Online Piano, Drum Pad, and String Change Diary.
  • Polyrhythm Metronome: added a common indicator card that stacks every rhythm's beat indicator vertically, with Play All / Stop All buttons placed below it. Rhythm tabs can now be switched and unlimited rhythms can be added via the + button.
  • The tools dropdown menu can now be scrolled internally without scrolling the background page.
  • Fixed tool names in the dropdown menu and various labels (Metronome, Polyrhythm Metronome, etc.) showing raw key names instead of translated text.
  • Fixed dynamic text such as slider range labels not updating immediately after switching languages.
  • Updated site URLs and sitemap for the move to the orbytal-studio.com custom domain.
