Piano mode requires exact note name + octave match — ideal for absolute pitch training.
Guitar mode judges by pitch class only (note name, ignoring octave), helping you memorize the fretboard layout.
Training Tips
Start narrow
Begin with Normal Octave (12 notes) before expanding range.
A little every day
10–15 questions daily can improve pitch recognition within 3–6 months.
Conquer the neck
Use Guitar mode to memorize every note on the fretboard.
Sing along
Humming the note after listening reinforces pitch memory.
