Drum Pattern Editor — Features & How to Use

Click the grid to build an original drum pattern and play it back instantly in your browser.

Click to enter notes, drag to paint multiple cells

1
Click — Each click on a cell cycles it through "Off → Normal → Accent → Ghost Note → Off".
2
Drag — Press and drag across cells to turn multiple cells on or off at once.
3
Right-click to erase — Right-click a cell to instantly turn it off (PC only).
4
Play — Press the play button to start the loop, with the current step highlighted.

1
BPM, time signature, resolution, bars — Freely combine tempo, time signature (numerator/denominator), and length in bars (up to 4). Grid resolution offers quarter/8th/16th/32nd notes plus 3-through-11 tuplets — raising the resolution narrows each cell while keeping the total width of a beat constant, so you can see each note's length at a glance. Changing the resolution later never touches notes you've already placed — each one keeps playing and displaying at its own original resolution, so you can freely mix notes of different resolutions within the same row.
2
Sound kit — Switch between an electronic EDM-style sound and an acoustic kit closer to a real drum set.
3
Swing — Raising the value pushes off-beats later for a shuffled groove. 50% is straight (no swing).

Start from a genre preset

Choose from 12 presets covering rock, funk, house, trap, reggae, punk, metal, jazz swing, blues shuffle, bossa nova, and ballad. Selecting a preset sets the BPM, time signature, and swing automatically, giving you a starting point to edit further.

Adjust volume per part

Each instrument row has M (mute) and S (solo) buttons plus a volume slider, letting you balance each part individually. While any part is soloed, all non-soloed parts are automatically silenced.

Copy & paste bars

Set bars to 2 or more to reveal per-bar copy/paste buttons above the grid, letting you quickly duplicate one bar's pattern into another.

Auto-save & share links

Your pattern is automatically saved in the browser and restored on reload. Press "Copy Share Link" to copy a URL containing your current pattern to the clipboard, so you can share it with others or open it on another device.
